🧘 Stress & Overwhelm

Stress is normal. Constant, unmanaged stress is not.

       Box breathing: Breathe in for 4 counts, hold 4, out 4, hold 4. Repeat 4 times. Used by Navy SEALs — it works.

       When overwhelmed, write down everything in your head. Getting it out of your mind onto paper reduces the mental load significantly.

       Identify your stress triggers. Are you always anxious on Sunday evenings? Before certain people? Knowing why helps you prepare.

       Say no more often. Overcommitting is a major source of stress for young adults.
